Pistol Holster Certification Course

The following is a short rundown of how the program works and what it entails:

1.    There is a Home- study package that is sent to all participants (students study at their own time prior to practical portion) electronically (they print-out, study, and bring to the course);

2.    There is an 6-hours (1 day) practical live-fire portion where the students are taught to safely, efficiently and competently draw a readied HG from a Holster and engage targets;

3.    Student get assessed thru-out the the 10 stages of the course;

4.    The morning consist of practicing: 1st: no ammo (motion only) 2nd: Drills with snap caps;

5.    The afternoon: live fire individually and possible live fire as a "group";

6.    Hardware requirements: 1 x Handgun, 2 x Magazine (3 or more is better), 1 x Holster, if possible mag pouches (Caliber 9mm or greater);

7.    Holster retention test: jumping from .60 centimeters (2Feet) with holstered gun = gun must remain securely in holster;

8.    6 x Snap Caps for the caliber being used - NO snap caps = NO participation!; and

9.    No less than 250 rds per gun.
